Call of Duty Series becoming more and more unplayable by the year.

This was a Post I made at:
http://community.callofduty.com/thread/200543030#

In relation to 'how bad' the CoD series is getting by the year.

heres my post.

"
hello everyone.

So before I get into the post id like to say that I've been playing the CoD series right back to the first game that was released. When CoD2 was released in 2005 in my opinion the series was in it's Golden Days, though some will disagree.

CoD2 was the series high point in my opinion.

No perks, no kill streaks, no death streaks, no attachments. In otherwords no crap no BS. When you played a lot, you got good, when you were good, you owned.

I can also say that I was a speed sniper [scoped], i was one of the first people to use the 'Jumping Head shot' trick over walls and boxes and cars and stuff, I know I was because I played everyday for hours at a time, yes I was addicted, could you blame me. . . .

CoD3 was released and was more or less a flop, when CoD4 aka MW1 was released this was indeed a good game, you had to work for the Killstreaks. Though it seen the introduction of Attachments, Perks, Kill Streaks etc etc. Though it wasnt over bearing.

However after this point the game in my opinion starts to decline.

MW2 was released, its brother MW3 also didnt help the franchise. Why? you may ask.

1 simple thing - Hosting. "It worked good for console's so lets bring it over to PC" is what the probably said. I played MW2 ALOT and to the point where I got quite good but again the Host system didnt work. No 2 PC's are alike unlike Consoles of course.

Black Ops 1 which was released after MW2 seen the re introduction of Dedicated Servers, this was nice as a matter of fact but again it seen the introduction of More Crap, aka what I said above. So the game was basically, you get spawn camped Via Kill Streaks, nades, you know the drill.

In fact its down right maddening.

It's one thing If I was playing bad due to my own faults and lack of skill but this wasnt the case.

Lately I've gone back playing MW3  as a mate bought it and wanted comapny. I have lost count the amount of times I had the drop on a guy, and he all of a sudden goes form standing straight to prone in literally a flash.

Now not even a full year after MW3 they release ANOTHER game.

maybe some one can tell me what there trying to accomplish other then creating Cash Cows and not creating a game for the Gamers.

Ive been a Console Game since I was 6 years old, and started gaming on PC's when i was 15. Some games I prefer on Console and other games such as most FPS's I prefer on PC, personal preference and all that.

Now that my little rant is over, ill end it on this.

MW2,BO,MW3 have so much potential but have been wasted. especially MW2 and MW3.

Movie review - Aragami [2003][JP]

Hey peeps.

welcome to todays blog regarding a Japanese Movie.

Aragami.

Heres IMDb's take on the movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362417/

before watching please take this mentality with you to truely enjoy the movie.

"So I'm basically a huge fan of Samurai anime and manga. In order to truely enjoy this movie you have to have an understanding about the samurai.

The samurai for the best part are noble honor bound fighters. Although trivial in the modern world of today in the past knowing ones name was an honor in itself, especialyl that of your opponent or enemy. As far as I know its considered an insult not to tell your opponent your name especially he he/she declares his first."

1) Characters.
Okay so the characters are a little strange as is the movie. As the movie unfolds we learn quite a lot aboutthe two main characters and see them go through a lot of different emotions throughout the movie.

2) Plot.
The plot is a simple one, A god of war is unhappy with his existance [you'll learn why in the movie] and seeks fulfillment but has been unlocky thus far. Our master samurai friend is quite normal in a personality sense. However as the movie evolves so does his point of view.

3) My Personal thoughts.
So I dunno I felt the movie couldve been better or at least a little more in depth. I cant go into great detail without spoiling the movie so I'll say this. Watch it, and you'll probably feel the same way i do. I felt a little uneasy as I wanted to see more. However I love japanese movies so I dont really mind.

Japanese - Methods of learning the language

Hello everyone. Now im a big fan of japan, always have been and I even plan on moving there next year.

So I got thinking and decided to share how exactly I learn japanese and where I learn it.

So if like me the amount of money you can spend is limited than heres my ways of learning Japanese.

**1**
 Free Japanese Lessons.com

I discovered this site when I first got interested in moving to japan and learning the language.
You have access as a free member user to some of the information on the site. For a one time cheap Fee you become a lifetime Premium user with access to everything on the site as well as other usefull stuff.

Such as:

- Live Instructor Chat
-Question and Comments [ more or lessa section to handle any question you may have.]
-Learn about Japanese Culture.

The Highly, highly recommend this site, it has everything you need to learn Japanese.

**2**

Self Teaching Guides [Books]
The above book I purchased in Easons, Im Irish myself and living in the West of Ireland.

Now again you cant beat a good bit of old fashioned studying from a book. Now granted it cost me like €20 or something like that but truthfully it was well spent. The book is crammed with information, exercises and much much more.

So all in all a bit of old fashioned studying is highly recommended.

 **3**

Youtube.

Now you might not think it but youtube is the place to be if you find yourself unable to lerarn japanese from a website or book. There are a hell of a lot of people on youtube teaching Japanese in easy to follow well layed out lessons. I'm going to list whom had the most influence on me.

Gimmeaflakeman or Victor

Personally this guy is amazing. The amount of effort he puts in to doing up his videos as well as the content is actually inspirational. he has really really helped me a lot with Japanese.

There are a hell of a lot more people on youtube doing the exact same thing. best of all, this is free and wont cost you a dime.

**4**

Subtitle Tutor

Now this method I'm not taking credit for. The credit goes to a guy by the name of Ken Kanon who does Japanese lessons on youtube.

Ken Cannon

This method is most usefull when you gain a reasonable knowledge of Japanese.

Its simple, pick an anime you like or even a drama, though i'd recommend the anime. Watch ithe episode through a few times with the subtitales on, then turn them off. It'll help you gain a fluency and help your understanding of Japanese.

Again credits go to Ken, go check him out.

Heres his website too:

japanese through anime

**5**

Rosetta Stone - Japanese

Now I'm sure everyone has heard of this program. Now I got this off of a friend so thank fully i didnt have to pay for it . So heres my thoughts on it.

I found this useful myself after I spent some time studying from books and from some of the methods I listed above. As you can change how it is displayed. You can display it in Romaji, Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji I think. It's been sometime since I actually used to the program.

This program in short is most useful for exercises rather than to learn from.

Well so far thats it from me. If I find anymore awesome ways to learn Japanese, you can be sure ill blog about it.

Total Recall [2012] - review **Contains SPOILERS!!!**

Ok so like I said above this review does contain movie spoilers, so if you've seen the movie and the original, then please give this a read. If you havnt seen the either of the movies I would advise you not to.

Right ok im going to start off with my own personal thoughts when I seen this movie being advertised

At first i was actually pissed off because they were remaking a Classic Arnie movie and in my opinion it didnt need remaking. However, like the remake of the karate kid featuring Jackie Chan they add changes but kept to the original plot and unlike the Karae Kid featuring Jackie Chan they kept the same names.

Lets start off my stating the obvious.

The movie is not set in an age where man has traversed space. it has nothing to do with mars. It has nothing to do with the ending of the first Total Recall [1990] which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger where by activating Alien technology created an Atmosphere which enveloped all of mars. It's different in that respect and because of the following changes the movie itself has my respect.

It is set in a future where Bio chemical warfare has made most of the planet unlivable. People are crammed into 2 colonies.

The United Brisith federeation [Parts of GB and western europe], or something and The colony [Australia].

Like the first movie the resistance are ever present and the trouble makers, or so we are believed to think. The master mind is Matthias. Although this review will contain spoilers I shall try my best not to spoil the entire movie.

After a brief trip to Rekall, he bursts his memory banks and things start to unwind. His perfect little life is not what it seems and much like the original Douglas kuade is starting to unravel who he really is. Who the people around him really are.

Unlike the first movie his so-called wife is a very pro-efficient agent in every respect unlike the flimsy damsel in distress agent in the original. After returning from Rekall, the happy couple began fighting, guns blazing, fists and legs flying here there and every where. A big pursuit follows which is much different from the first one. On that note I shall add in that Kate Beckinsale is waaay too hot!

From the footage you see at the very start of the movie we see a very beautiful and well known face, Jessica Biel. he meets up with Jessica while in pursuit yet again.

That is as much as im going to delve into the movie itself. if you want to find out more then please watch the movie.

Considering it's a remake im going to give it an:

8.5/10

My reasons are simple, where I think of Total Recall I think Arnie, not Colin Farrell, although he does a great job in his role, no doubts there. For me it was the absence of Arnie that did it more so for me aswell as how quickly Matthias gets killed. Thats the reason I deducted 1.5 from the overall score. Again my own thoughts and opinions.

I still recommend you watch it.

Enjoy.

Skyfall over and done

Ok so im just after watching the anticipated 'james bond - skyfall'.

Some dubbed it "the best bond ever made, its the best out of the lot." etc etc.

It was definitly the most action packed bond movie in a sense he was in a lot of situations where his life was on the line. Life and death situations ran amuck.

Now for me personally as I am a MASSIVE fan of the bond movies I found the film delightful.

You get a great insight into Bonds past, his character and what he endured at a young age. In other words the things that made him into the man we see from the first of the movies right through.

We're also introduced to some familiar characters that know and love so much.

Certain things unfold and make it clear how one or some things transition.

For me I wouldnt call it the best ever but it is definitly up there with the greats. I dont have a favorite bond as I love all of them equally.

Again, I tried to.do up this review of the movie without spoiling anything for those of you who havnt yet seen it.

It is a must see amd I give it a healthy:
10/10

Il leave you on this note:
I am a man at thr age of 23 and what I see and understand a lot of people my age and younger as well as even some older would call this the best ever.

However 9 times out of 10 the same people dont know how to appreciate the older bond movies. With that in mind, enjoy the movie.
